The Phi Beta Epsilon is a Professional Fraternity for Engineers currently exclusive for the students in the College of Engineering in Iloilo City, Philippines - Colleges and Universities. It was founded on September 28, 1947, as a local fraternity at the Central Philippines College now Central Philippines University, and started to branch out a chapter in 1950 at Iloilo City College and up to now.
Its purpose is to bind the top and talented engineering students from different engineering schools in Iloilo City together so that they may work shoulder to shoulder for a common good and noble end. The fraternity is dedicated to the ideals of scholarship, leadership development, service, and fellowship. All members are men who are pursuing studies in any field of engineering or applied science.
The fraternity currently has several alumni member organizations, based in the Philippines and various countries around the world. A global network of Betans ready to support the Resident Members in all chapters in particular and the fellowship in general.

- September 28, 1947 – Phi Beta Epsilon Fraternity was founded at Central Philippines College (now Central Philippine University).
- 1950 – The fraternity expanded to Iloilo City College.
- October 21, 1964 – The University of Iloilo Chapter was organized in La Paz, Iloilo City by the founding brothers and faculty advisers. Several faculty members from the College of Engineering at ICC (now University of Iloilo–Phinma) later joined to establish the Western Institute of Technology (WIT).
- February 14, 1969 – Student brothers from CPU and ICC came together to organize the Phi Beta Epsilon Fraternity WIT Chapter.
- September 21, 1978 – The University of San Agustin College of Technology Chapter was founded by members of the CPU Chapter.
- November 29, 2008 – The Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT-U) Chapter was founded by a Betan from the USA Chapter together with a CPU Chapter Betan.
- October 24, 2010 – The University of Iloilo Chapter experienced a brief revival, led by the Dean of the College of Technology - a Betan alumnus from the WIT Chapter.
Today, Phi Beta Epsilon continues to thrive with active resident members and alumni chapters across the Philippines and worldwide, carrying forward a proud legacy of scholarship, fellowship, leadership, and service.
